We are hosting a series of virtual Decision-Focused Evaluation (DFE) trainings that, aim to build capacities of program designers and implementers in Impact Evaluation (IE) across East Africa. The trainings have been tailored to program implementers interested in the interlink between IE and program implementation. The ist training will take place on 21-23rd April 2021 from 9am-11am (Nairobi time) and will be facilitated by our member Dr.Ronald Mulebeke.

By the end of the training, participants will acquire adequate knowledge and skills to help them understand DFE’s in their specific operations, to interpret and apply the concepts across different levels and contexts.Specifically, the training will equip participants with:

  1. Advanced knowledge on the key concepts underpinning IE.
  2. Critical understanding on evaluating public policies, programmes/projects and innovations using IE techniques.
  3. Critical skills to facilitate the selection of appropriate evaluation techniques to address prevailing development challenges.
  4. Ability to interpret and communicate empirical results clearly and accurately to different audience.

The sessions will be discussion-based employing a mixture of short lectures, small group work, case studies, individual and group presentations facilitated through the Zoom platform.
