
AMOS NJUGUNA
Dean of the School of Graduate Studies (Network Chair)
Amos is the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Research and Extension at United States International University - Africa (USIU-A) and a founding member of the Network. He has a background in financial economics and over 15 years of experience working on financial products, savings behavior and financial systems in both the public and private sectors. His research has impacted on policy outcomes in the Kenyan retirement benefits industry, insurance industry and public governance. Additionally, he has been project manager on entrepreneurship program funded by Gold Man Sachs and food security program funded by IDRC and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. As the inaugural Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, he has managed to embed impact evaluations in the research methodology curriculum for all graduate programs in the University and contributed to the training of faculty, students and policy makers on impact evaluations approaches. Amos is an EASST fellow and a passionate ambassador for institutionalization of impact evaluations and transparency in conduct of research.
