Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Manager (Kenya Deputy Coordinator)


Samuel Muhula is the Senior Manager Learning and Impact at AMREF Health Africa. He was a 2018 spring semester visiting research fellow at the University of California Berkeley, under the East Africa Social Science Translation program.  He holds a PhD in Epidemiology at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya. Samuel has about 10 years’ experience evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of health development programs in Africa, monitoring program performance, designing operations research, and implementing scientific studies. Samuel is an adjunct lecturer of Biostatistics at JKUAT and Moi Universities in Kenya. His research interest is in public health especially infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases and Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Child Health.
