Michel Armel NDAYIKEZA is a lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Burundi. He obtained his PhD in Economics from University Clermont Auvergne – CERDI, following a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and ENS-Cachan. His research focuses on development economics, particularly in the areas of education and labor, using experimental and quasi-experimental methods. In 2021, Michel visited the University of California, Berkeley, as a CEGA Fellow. He is a network member of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) and is part of the 2024-2025 cohort of the Africa Fellows in Education Program, a joint initiative of the Partnership for Economic Policy and the Global Education Analytics Institute. Since 2023, Michel has been contributing as an Education Economist to the monitoring of the “Twige Neza” project, led by the Ministry of Education in Burundi and funded by the Global Partnership for Education and the French Development Agency.
