Victor’s motivation for applying to the fellowship stemmed from his experience working in the Education section of Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), where he witnessed firsthand the impact of informed policymaking on the development of the 2024 National Educational report and Population and Housing Census report. This fellowship aligns with his goals of enhancing my skills in research synthesis, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Victor is particularly drawn to the program’s emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, stakeholder engagement, other educational related activities to improve community-based organization events.

Victor is paired with NIERA researcher Dr. Samuel Oji Oti,to develop a concept note to evaluate the impact of Ghana’s Free Senior High School (FSHS) policy on access and quality of secondary education, with a focus on disparities between public and private schools as well as implications for equity and human capital development.
