Senior Lecturer
Shibiru Ayalew Melesse is a seasoned researcher, consultant, trainer, and an Assistant Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU), Ethiopia, with over 18 years of experience in academia, research, and community engagement. He holds a PhD in Technology and Innovation Management, an MBA, and a BA in Management. He was a Research Fellow of Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA) at the University of California, Berkeley, where he deepened his expertise in impact evaluation methodologies. As a nationally certified management consultant, he has led the design, implementation, and coordination of numerous impact evaluation research projects, many involving extensive fieldwork.
He has also developed comprehensive training manuals on impact evaluation and delivered training sessions to policymakers and practitioners. His research interests encompass financial inclusion, leadership, gender discrimination, innovation management, and entrepreneurship. His scholarly work has appeared in reputable academic journals, including the Journal of Development Economics, the Journal of Ethiopian Economics, the Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal Sustainable Development, Ethiopia Journal of Science and Sustainable Development and the Journal of Applied Economics.
