Call for Applications: Legal Consultant – Review and Adaptation of NIERA Website Policies

The Network of Impact Evaluation Researchers in Africa (NIERA) is an independent, Pan-African network established in 2018 to strengthen the generation and use of rigorous, decision-focused evidence across the continent. NIERA brings together a community of African scholars committed to advancing impact evaluation, improving the quality of development research, and deepening evidence uptake in policy and practice.

The Network consists of alumni of the East Africa Social Science Translation (EASST) Collaborative and now draws membership from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and Rwanda, with growing engagement across the wider African region. NIERA’s members possess multi-sectoral expertise spanning health, agriculture, gender, economics, finance, governance, and education, and have extensive experience conducting high-quality research and policy engagement.

NIERA continues to expand its continental role through flagship programs such as the Policy Fellowship, DDRI research projects, policy outreach forums, and a growing repository of home-grown African evidence resources.

As part of strengthening its institutional governance and digital compliance framework, NIERA recently launched a new organizational website designed to enhance visibility, communication, and accessibility of evidence resources. To ensure the website complies with both national and international data protection standards, NIERA is seeking to engage a Legal Expert (individual consultant or firm) to review and adapt its core digital policies, including the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy.
